FYTTSA GROUP knows the health of its business in real time and modernizes its IT environment with Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Sales

Grupo FYTTSA is a company founded in 1962 in Tepexpan, State of Mexico. The organization concentrates business in the civil construction industry and markets a large number of products, ranging from building and hardware, to decoration and coatings. Since 2002, Grupo FYTTSA has collaborated with the Mexican public sector in the municipal, state and federal spheres, operating in more than 20 branches throughout the country.

With its almost 60 years of experience, and due to its growth, the Mexican group has advanced towards the challenge of promoting its digital transformation, in order to continue providing, in a personalized and professional manner, products and services of excellence and high quality. to his clients. "We have chosen Microsoft to develop our digital integration project for CRM and ERP services in our branches, because it offers us a favorable digital ecosystem capable of intuitively incorporating technologies previously acquired by our company", indicates Jeroboam Sánchez, Executive Director of FYTTSA Group.

Dynamics 365: Implementation in record time

In order to add greater agility and reliability to its flow chain, Grupo FYTTSA decided to integrate its CRM and ERP services to Dynamics 365 for Sales with the collaboration and support of ATX Business Solutions, Microsoft's Gold Cloud Business Applications Partner. Among the challenges, there was the need to improve decision-making, in addition to unifying and automating business processes.

After updating and computerizing the commercial area, Microsoft solutions were able to effectively contribute to the productivity of 200 direct collaborators, from administrative staff to sales managers. The implementation took a period of less than four months. According to Sánchez, Dynamics 365 became the "heart of the company's operations." In addition to consolidating each of the commercial processes in a digitalized way, the tool allowed Grupo FYTTSA to have a real and updated vision of its financial health.

The FYTTSA team highlights that Dynamics 365 for Sales has enhanced the purchasing experience for customers of the Mexican network. “The entire civil construction market has contracted due to the Covid-19 health emergency. However, we knew that by digitizing our operations we would have the advantage of Microsoft technology in our favor. Now, we have quick and up-to-date access to a catalog of more than 11,000 product codes offered by our network of stores”, says Arturo Torres, Director of Hardware Stores and Materials of the FYTTSA Group.

Power Platform: Intelligence in online data analysis

With the integration of Dynamics 365 for Sales and Power BI, Grupo FYTTSA developed a series of dashboards on its commercial activity that provide an updated view of business demands. Thus, among other highlights, real and online data on the sales process was obtained, including comparisons and objectives achieved by the product marketing teams.

With this, Grupo FYTTSA was able to capture and process relevant information for analysis, statistics and planning, which has been used to program vendor routes and strategically geolocate its entire sales force. The impact has been robust, with a 60% savings in transportation costs, and another 40% in gasoline costs.

Optimization of financial resources

Within Dynamics 365, Grupo FYTTSA added even more sophisticated functionality to track the health of your business, with Power Apps and Power Automate. The tool, called ATX Kunde, collects the vital signs and data of each daily transaction (i.e. the number of items per ticket) to generate a sales report, divided by group and branch. Morales details: “The Vital Sign records are automatically generated in the system. The points of sale send us the data through Power Apps, and with Power Automate we get the data into Dynamics 365 through an automated workflow. Otherwise it would have to be created manually.

In turn, the Vital Signs feed the existing dashboards that FYTTSA has developed in Power BI. Sánchez explains: “the data in Power BI allows me to identify if, for example, I need to carry out a marketing campaign in a branch to increase sales, or if the pandemic affected us in a store and some business unit needs to respond. I can even see if a consultant needs to give advice to the client to optimize their purchase.”

Information applied at points of sale

Marisol Vázquez Gallardo, General Manager of the FYTTSA Group Sales Area, reveals that the cultural change experienced by the Mexican company resulted in a greater organization of the data. This has allowed it to generate decision-making in a clear, surgical and objective manner at each of its points of sale. “The information was scattered and disorganized in the different data banks. Today, with centralized data, our front-line partners, our vendors, have Power Apps mobile applications that allow them to better interact with their customers: place orders, check stock, monitor balance, all in real time with data of Dynamics 365 Sales. We achieved greater control of the activities of the sales force, as well as increased productivity and improved results”.

The success in the design and implementation of Microsoft solutions in Grupo FYTTSA demonstrates all the impact and benefits of digital transformation in the company's business culture. Together with ATX and Microsoft, FYTTSA has been able to grow its business, even as the industry experienced a slowdown due to the global pandemic. It is expected that this tripartite collaboration will become closer with the aim of carrying out new actions that allow the Group to continue increasing its presence in Mexico.
